Tactic Station’s printing options depend on your printer and whether you use an iPad or Android tablet.
Recommended printer
Our standard hardware recommendation is the Brother QL-1110NWB Desktop Label Printer, paired with Brother DK-1234 Name Badge Labels.
Automatic badge printing
Tactic Station integrates Brother’s printing SDK to enable automatic badge printing with compatible printers when a visitor completes check-in.
Other options include SDK-compatible models within Brother’s PJ, MW, RJ, RD, QL, and PT families. Before purchasing an alternative, confirm compatibility with Tactic Support for your specific printer and tablet platform.
AirPrint on iPad
On iPad, AirPrint-compatible printers are expected to work through Apple’s standard printing interface, including compatible color label printers.
After visitor check-in, the AirPrint window appears and requires a tap on Print. This method does not print automatically.
Wi-Fi connectivity alone does not mean a printer supports AirPrint.
Network setup
For network printing, the tablet and printer must be on the same local network/VLAN and able to communicate with each other.
