Create a Visitor Station

After creating your Visitor Types, the next step is to set up a Visitor Station.

A Visitor Station is the device (such as an iPad or tablet) that visitors will use to check in when they arrive.

How to create a Visitor Station

Go to your profile photo → Settings → Visitor Manager → Visitor Stations

From there:

• Click Link New Device

Station details

Start by entering basic information for your station:

• Station Name
  Example: Main Lobby, Reception, Front Desk
• Assigned Building
  Select the location where this station will be used
• Assigned Floor (optional)
• Assigned Zone (optional)

Click Next to continue

Configuration

This step controls what visitors can do at this station.

Visitor Types

• Turn on Enable specific visitor types if you want to limit which types can check in here
• Select the allowed Visitor Types

If this is left off, all Visitor Types will be available for this Station

Delivery & employee sign-in

• Handle Deliveries
  Allows couriers to check in and drop off packages
• Employee Check-ins
  Allows employees to check in from this station (if enabled for your organization)

Additional settings

• Auto Check-out
  Automatically checks visitors out at the end of the day if they haven’t checked out manually
• Virtual Receptionist
  Allows visitors to video call a receptionist (if enabled)

Click Next to continue

Visual settings (optional)

Customize how the check-in screen looks on the device.

You can:

• Upload a logo and background image
• Set a welcome title, subtitle, and message
• Adjust theme colors

If you don’t customize this, the station will use your location’s default settings

Click Next to continue

Review and create

Review your settings, then click Create Station

Connect your device

After creating the station, you’ll see a code and QR code.

On your iPad or tablet:

• Open the Tactic Station app
  
  • Download from Apple App Store here
  • Download from Google Play Store here
• Tap Link Device
• Enter the code or scan the QR code

Once connected, the station will be ready for visitor check-in

What to expect next

Your Visitor Station will now appear in the Visitor Stations list.

• Status will update once the device is connected
• You can edit or manage the station at any time from this page
