Booking Time Selection in Tactic

The time selector appears when you create or edit a booking directly from Map View. It is designed to make selecting booking times faster and more intuitive, whether you need a quick meeting, a half day, or a full day booking.

You can choose a time using quick presets or by manually adjusting the time range.

Where You’ll See the Time Selector

The time selector opens when you click on a desk or space from Map View and start creating a booking.

Once opened, you’ll see:

  • A Quick Select panel on the left

  • A time scale on the right

  • Your selected start and end time shown at the top

Quick Select Options

Use Quick Select when you want common time ranges without manual adjustment:

  • Meeting Now – Starts immediately from the current time and is set to 45 minutes by default. You can easily adjust the duration by dragging the arrow up or down on the time scale.
  • Morning – Books 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Afternoon – Books 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
  • Full Day – Books 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • 30 minutes – Quick half-hour booking
  • 1 hour – Quick one-hour booking

Selecting any of these options will automatically set your start and end time, and you can fine-tune them if needed.

Manually Adjusting the Time

If you need a custom time range:

  1. Click directly on the time scale on the right

  2. Drag to adjust the start or end time

  3. The selected time range will update as you move it

This is useful for shorter meetings or bookings outside standard time blocks.

Helpful Tips

  • Use Quick Select for faster booking

  • Adjust Meeting Now by dragging if you need more or less than 45 minutes

  • Use Snap to 15 min for cleaner scheduling

  • Always double-check the time shown at the top before saving
